This weekend
K's dad came out on friday, and we went up to Lincoln, NH to do some hiking in the white mountains.
A word to the wise, if you're planning a trip to hike in the White mountains in the summer, check and see if it overlaps with Bike week in Laconia. If I never hear another motorcycle again, it'll be too soon.
Anyway, on Saturday we hiked up to the site of a B-18 crash from 1942. It's really amazing to see how much of the wreckage is still there, wings and engines and all. It was a great hike. And we were able to find the geocache up there after about half an hour hunting around.
Then we hiked up to Greely Pond, and found another cache. We probably hiked about 8.5 miles total. Not quite the 10 miles we made last year, but not bad.
Sunday morning we drove home, K went out to dinner with her brother and Dad, and I drove out to my Dad's house. I was able to have dinner here with my Dad and Grandfather for father's day, which was nice. I'm not sure how many more times I'll have that opportunity.
This afternoon I'll head home, and then on Wednesday I fly out to Origins!
